Over at Eurogamer website. there is a new post that has says about that you will need a day one patch to make Call of Duty: Ghosts on PlayStation 4 to run at 1080p.

"The patch makes the campaign output at a native 1080p resolution. Without it, the campaign outputs at 720p"
But it is also said that multiplayer is native 1080p without the update. This is just for single player.
